LUBE-IT™ -- Multi User Setup Notes

In order for LUBE-IT Multi-user to function best there are a few settings and files that need to be verified. To insure reliable operation please be certain your network configuration meets the following specifications:

WORKSTATIONS:

All OS Versions:

LUBE-IT needs to be able to update the following registry key at runtime

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ODBC\ODBC.INI\SP3_ODBC

LUBE-IT also needs to be able to create and add files to the users Temp directory

Windows 95, 98, Me: Not Supported

Windows NT Workstation:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters

UseOpportunisticLocking REG_DWORD 0 (false)

Windows 2000 Professional / XP Professional 

SERVERS:

Windows NT Server:

Novell NetWare:

Note: Regardless of the type of network you are using it is best to keep the number of communication protocols to a minimum.
