CMMS is to lubrication as driving a car is to flying an airplane. In other words they are designed for different functions. No matter how much you would like the car to fly, it won’t. No matter how much you would like a CMMS system to lead you into lubrication reliability, it can’t. Over forty percent of LUBE-IT customers use SAP. By comparison, the CMMS work order is a small stiff box into which the lubrication and manpower efficient routes will never adequately fit.
